- Internship – XML Parser for QA InfoTech
June 15, 2009 – July 31, 2009
The organization required a tool that could parse through an XML file and extract data from specified XML tags. The tags can be specified by their name along with attribute names. The data is then generated in specified application format, which is stored in the form of a file under the specific book name in the form of the folder, which the client is able to generate and manage through the UI itself. The client then can download the file off the server and can use it for further processing. The tool is currently live on their local server.
- Online Compiler
This project is my independent thought. The project allows user with a workspace to write a program, edit it, execute it and view the output. The user can also mail them to a mail id they specify. The project also notifies of error it occurs in the execution of program. Since it is a web tool it can run practically on any mobile devices such as Smartphone, PDA etc. The tool follows the Borland Standard. The software basically is an interface between the compiler and the web.
- Internship – Mail Bounce Tracking System for LimeSurvey
Jun 15,2010 – July 31,2010
The open source organization’s LimeSurvey software sends e-mail invitations to the participants to invite them to participate in online surveys. Sometimes the email addresses specified are not correct and hence e-mails are bounced. There was no system to track and mark these mails in the system, henceforth was done manually. Therefore, I developed a tracking system which read the bounced messages from the mail server in the administrator’s account and mark them in the system. Both IMAP and POP accounts are supported .The feature is released in 1.91 version of the product and is available for download from link
This is desktop client for the online CMS software for forum hosting PHPBB. The Client will be capable of retrieving and posting messages on the online forum for which it is configured. The user will be allowed to read old messages offline and also configure more than one forum on one installation of the software.
- Internship – Central Participants Database – Google Summer of Code
May 23, 2011 – August 30, 2011
The open source organization’s LimeSurvey software has survey specific token based system to store and invite participant’s to the survey. The only way to share the participant was to download a CSV file from one token table and upload it to other. So to overcome this problem, I developed a Central Database for participants which allows the administrator to either add the participant’s directly to the Central Table and then copy it to the token table or vice versa.Besides this the administrator can even share the participant’s among users along with permission control system. The participant can blacklist himself/herself from a specific survey or from the server. The project is not yet released. This project is sponsored by Google under Google’s Summer
of Code program. You can access the entire project from LimeSurvey’s subversion using the URL
